Personal Information

Before joining McCartneys in October 1999 David had spent some 20 years in the construction industry as project manager, responsible for building numerous projects ranging from a small domestic extension unto a 1.3 million vehicle sales / maintenance complex.

Based at our Leominster office David has helped expand the estate agency business, but his main input has been to develop the surveying department of McCartneys. His previous knowledge and experience has strengthened the department, which now provides a planning, technical and administrative service to a wide range of building / development projects.

Married to Annie with two teenage sons James and Matthew and from a farming family, David has a practical, down to earth approach to life’s challenges and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, The Chartered Institute of Building and the Architecture and Surveying Institute. Although a keen all-round shooter, much of his spare time is devoted to helping his eldest son James building a gas turbine engine powered go-kart – and trying to convince his mother that he will not blow the roof off the barn! However, Matthew has his feet firmly on the ground and as a result of work experience at McCartneys, is interested in pursuing a career in surveying.
